The Praja Rajyam president and Tirupati MLA, Chiranjeevi, will undertake a Padayatra from the statue of Srikrishna Devaraya at Leela Mahal junction to the Padala Mandapam, Alipiri, foot of Tirumala hills, on Friday, in protest against the TTD’s irresponsible attitude towards protecting the invaluable offerings of the Vijayanagara emperor to the Lord of Seven Hills.
Chiranjeevi would arrive at Renigunta airport in the morning. He will commence the padayatra at 10.00 am and the same would proceed through the arterial roads in the pilgrim town, before culminating at Alipiri. The organizers said that Chiranjeevi after reaching Alipiri would trek to Tirumala. He will also be addressing the gathering either at Leela Mahal junction or at Alipiri. After worshipping the Lord at Tirumala, he would return to Hyderabad in the evening.
